| What services does A+ provide? |
|
Academics, Plus provides a broad range of basic educational services from regularly scheduled tutoring sessions... to last minute intensive coaching on the eve of a midterm exam... to helping with writing course papers... to preparations for HSPT, PSAT, SAT I, SAT II, ACT, GED, ASVAB and TOEFL... to sessions aimed at improving the student's studying habits, organizational techniques, time management skills, motivation, attitude towards learning, or overcoming a test anxiety. Other services include participating in meetings, telephone consultations, contributing to written work, and in-service seminars. Academics, Plus is different from many other educational services not only in what it does, but also in how A+ educators work with people.

Academics, Plus provides high quality tutoring to individuals from the most diverse backgrounds, many of whom require special needs. The key approach is to create a productive learning environment and enhance study skills of students in a way that makes learning a natural and wholistic process. Academics, Plus works in close cooperation with all people involved in a student's academic life: school staff and private educators, therapists and medical doctors, parents and family members.

| What is special education? |
|
Special education refers to providing educational services to individuals who are physically, mentally, emotionally, or hearing different; those requiring specialized medical equipment; or those who take medication that may have an effect on their learning skills. Academics, Plus has extensive experience working with special education students. Ms. Sandra Nagel is a licensed elementary and special education teacher in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri with over 20 years of teaching experience.

| What are A+ fees? |
|
Academics, Plus charges an hourly fee and accepts payment by checks or money orders. A+ rates may slightly vary depending on a combination of factors, such as whether A+ educators come to a student's home or s/he comes to Academics, Plus... the driving distance between A+ center in Evanston, IL and the student's home... the level of difficulty and/or urgency of the material... and other special circumstances. | How do clients choose Academics, Plus? |

Academics, Plus relies greatly on the networking system and the word-of-mouth. It believes that a satisfied client, a student's parent, or a business partner would refer other clients to A+, and Academics, Plus always appreciates such referrals.
